Qualifying nights, stays and eligible spend can move members from Silver through to Diamond Reserve, unlocking additional recognition and benefits along the way.
Hilton Honors Points are the programme's rewards currency. Members earn them as Base Points on eligible stays and as Bonus Points through elite bonuses, credit cards, partners and promotions. Points can later be redeemed for reward nights, Points & Money stays, Experiences and other rewards.
Hotel stays are the main way to earn Hilton Honors Points. At most brands, members earn 10 Base Points per US$1 on room rate and eligible room charges. Home2 Suites, Tru, Apartment Collection and YOTEL earn 5 Base Points per US$1 (as do Homewood Suites and Spark for bookings made from 8 January 2026), and LivSmart Studios earns 3. Elite members receive an additional Elite Tier Bonus on Base Points.

Hilton Honors American Express cards earn Hilton Honors Bonus Points directly on eligible purchases and include complimentary elite status. Bilt Rewards members can also transfer points into Hilton Honors. Card-earned Bonus Points do not count toward elite tier qualification.
Hilton Honors Points can also be earned beyond hotel stays through dining, Lyft rides (3 points per US$1 in the U.S. and Canada once accounts are linked), car rentals and limited-time promotions. Members can also buy up to 160,000 points per year or receive gifted points when they need to top up a balance.
In the U.S., Hilton Honors American Express cards earn Hilton Honors Bonus Points directly on everyday purchases while also offering benefits such as complimentary elite status, Free Night Rewards and Hilton statement credits. Co-branded cards are also offered in markets including the UK, Germany, Japan, Korea, Austria, Mexico and China.
